Paras Anti Drone Technologies Secures ₹22 Crore Export Deal with France’s CERBAIR

Mumbai: In a strategic boost to India’s defence export ambitions, Paras Anti Drone Technologies Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd, has signed a Letter of Intent with France-based CERBAIR, a leading European counter-UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) company.

Under this agreement, CERBAIR intends to procure up to 30 CHIMERA 200 systems, a state-of-the-art counter-drone solution, for approximately ₹22 crore (€2.2 million).

The CHIMERA 200 is an advanced man-portable radio frequency detection and neutralization system, offering wideband, real-time, and customizable anti-drone protection. The system has already been deployed to secure critical Indian infrastructure and is now set to enter the European market.

This export aligns with the ‘Make in India’ initiative and India’s Defence Production and Export Promotion Policy (DPEPP), which aims to achieve $5 billion in defence exports by 2025.

The CHIMERA 200 offers wideband threat detection across 400 MHz to 6 GHz frequencies, supports directional and omnidirectional operations, and features secure API integration for C2 systems.

It is also adaptable for IED detection, signal spoofing, and future electronic warfare needs. These features make it ideal for use in dynamic combat and urban security scenarios.

In his letter, Lucas Le Bell, President of CERBAIR, emphasized the rising demand for effective anti-drone technologies in light of changing geopolitical landscapes and the war in Ukraine. He noted that the CHIMERA 200 will be adapted to enhance neutralization output and meet Europe’s rapidly evolving security requirements.
